Join us for a special screening of a Netflix Original Film “End Game”, a short documentary film directed by Academy Award winners Jeffrey Friedman and Rob Epstein. This extraordinary documentary seeks to bring light to issues in end-of-life care. The film follows a palliative team from UCSF Medical Center who review, discuss and explain the options available to patients with terminal illness.
“End Game” gives audiences a glimpse into the decision-making process to enroll in hospice and how that decision tends to be fraught with fear and emotion. This film does a fantastic job of showing the delicate human nuances behind the decision to cease life-extending treatments and the gentle, supportive nature of the palliative care team.
Gather with community members and clinical professionals as we discuss the topic of end of life care.
Refreshments will be served & there is no cost to attend.
