At the completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- Recognize expressions of pain in persons with dementia who are communicating discomfort or suffering
- Identify common physical and psychological sources of pain in persons with dementia
- Describe non-drug approaches that may reduce discomfort in persons with dementia
