Education – Caregiver Strategies
Caring for someone who has dementia is an involved process. Our Caregiver Strategies classes and programs walk you through the essentials of how to best care for someone with memory loss, and train you on practical strategies and plans so you can feel equipped and ready to face the disease.

Classes Offered
Family Caregiver Strategies Class – This program is an evidence-informed, 6-hour training provided over a 3-week period. Caregivers will possess greater confidence and understanding of moderate-stage Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. We are currently reworking this program, see the Education Calendar for a full listing of available classes.
Family Strategies 1-2-3 – Attend one, two or all three of these classes designed to help families caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s or other dementias.
- Caring Conversations – Learn principles and practical techniques to communicate with those with memory loss.
- Dementia-Related Behaviors – Identify common behavior changes, explore why they happen and what they mean. Learn helpful tips to adjust and respond.
- Meaningful Activities at Home – Learn how to plan and do easy activities at home that enhance the time you spend together with your loved one with memory loss.
