Webinar ~ Continuing Education Policies

 

 Requirements for Live Webinar Continuing Education Credit

  • Available Webinar CE Credit – RCFE, BRN & CAMFT (BBS).
  • Participant must be online for 60 minutes; logged in at the start time of the webinar.
  • Participant must have access to both audio AND visual computer elements.
  • Participant must immediately answer the Poll Questions during the webinar; this is a proof of your active attendance.
  • Survey must be completed and received within two (2) days of webinar presentation date.
  • Certificate of completion will be issued to participants via e-mail within 10 days of returning the completed evaluation, if all other CE requirements are met.
  • Please Note: Using a device other than a computer, or switching from one device to another (such as mobile phone to computer) during the webinar can interrupt the system’s ability to verify your attendance; in these cases, you may not be eligible for continuing education credit.
  • Using another registrant’s link to join the webinar, or sharing your unique link to join the webinar invalidates the record of attendance, and you will not receive CE credit.

 

1. Alzheimer’s Orange County is approved to offer the following continuing education units for professionals:

  • BRN: Alzheimer’s Orange County is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN), Provider #CEP 14757 to offer continuing education credit for BRNs and LVNs.
  • CAMFT/BBS: Alzheimer’s Orange County (AOC) is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT) to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs, and/or LEPs. AOC maintains responsibility for this program and its content. This course meets the qualifications for continuing education credit as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
  • RCFE: Alzheimer’s Orange County is approved by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) for continuing education units for RCFE Administrator recertification. Provider #2000147-740-2.

 

2. Instructions for Requesting Accommodations for a Disability

Alzheimer’s Orange County will make every effort to provide reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities. To request special accommodations please send an e-mail request to LEARN@alzoc.org, at least two weeks prior to the event.

 

3. Continuing Education Certificates of Completion

A certificate of completion will be issued to participants via e-mail within 10 days of the completed evaluation being received (if all other CEU criteria are met).

Certificates will only be awarded to participants who attend for the full 60-minute webinar. No partial CE credit will be awarded.

 

4. Continuing Education Grievance Policy

The Education Department at Alzheimer’s Orange County is dedicated to providing quality, affordable continuing education to various professionals throughout the community.  In an effort to meet the needs and expectations of our constituents, there is a process in place for a course participant who has a specific concern to voice his/her complaint.

Please submit any complaints in writing (postal letter or e-mail) within seven (7) days of the education event.  Any complaints submitted will be handled confidentially.  Please e-mail the complaint to Jasmine Victor, Director of Education, at the following e-mail or postal mail address:

Please be sure to include:

  1. Your name and contact information
  2. The name of the course event
  3. The date of the course event
  4. The course presenter’s name
  5. A detailed description of the reason for the complaint
  6. The type of resolution you are expecting (this does not guarantee that a resolution will be approved)

 

A record of each complaint or grievance and its resolution is kept by the Education Director and reported with the CEU provider application and renewal.
