Support by the Numbers

Answering the call

Our team received 4,134 Helpline calls and conducted 1,103 Care Consultations to provide answers, expert guidance and tailored support for each caller.

Improving understanding & care

15,109 people attended our educational classes on dementia, brain health, and healthy aging, gaining knowledge and skills to better support themselves and those they care for.

Bringing people together to create a community

2,796 attendees participated in support groups, meeting in-person, online, and in multiple languages to share experiences and solutions.

Promoting active living and socialization

798 attendees participated in Connect2Culture, a program offering social activities for individuals in early to moderate stages of dementia and their care partners to connect and engage.

Engaging with healthcare providers

We reached over 3,000 physicians, sharing information about our services to expand awareness and improve dementia care in Orange County.

Community outreach for lasting impact

We engaged with over 10,000 community members and connected with elected representatives and local officials 183 times to raise awareness and advocate for those affected by dementia.

Enriching lives and providing essential respite

Our adult day center, Healthy Aging Center: Acacia, served 147 individuals and provided 4,920 hours of therapy, to help participants stay active, reduce costly care, and give families respite.

After her husband was diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment, Anne found hope and support through one of Alzheimer’s Orange County’s early memory loss programs, Memory University. Initially struggling to find adequate care, she discovered the program online. The compassionate guidance and instruction they received from expert instructors over multiple weeks provided her and her husband with practical strategies to navigate their journey and begin planning ahead. This program not only educated them, but also fostered a supportive community.
