Attend one of our 3 Saturday training classes for professionals in the field of dementia care. They focus on Communication and Connection with Individuals who have Alzheimer’s, managing Dementia-Related Behaviors, and Activities to Enhance Dementia Care.

Three 1 -Hour Quality Training Modules for Professionals, attend one or all three:
- Communicating and Connecting With Individuals Who Have Dementia (1 CEU) 9:00 a.m. – 10:00a.m.
- Discover how Alzheimer’s disease and dementia can change the abilities and methods of communicating
- Identify practical techniques for effective communication with individuals who have dementia
- Learn methods that can reduce and even prevent challenging behaviors associated with dementia
- Managing Dementia-Related Behaviors (1 CEU) 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
- Recognize how dementia-related brain changes affect an individual’s behavior
- Identify common triggers for behaviors associated with dementia
- Learn how a person-centered approach coupled with contented involvement can be used to intervene with dementia-related behaviors
- Activities That Enhance Dementia Care (1 CEU) 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
- Discover how one-on-one and group activities improve the quality of life for individuals with dementia
- Identify methods for applying a person-centered approach to activity planning
- Discuss the benefits of using the ‘best friends’ approach when implementing various activities
- Discover how individuals achieve contented involvement as they progress through the stages of dementia when activities are ‘right-sized’
