The COVID-19 pandemic has restricted our ability to meet in person and created new challenges connecting with others, attending support groups, and attending educational courses and events for caregivers. As a result, many of us have had a need to use technology in ways we previously were unfamiliar with or didn’t have to rely on.

AlzOC, for example, has adapted the way we function to continue to serve, support and provide vital services to our community by:

  • Transitioning to live online classes on Facebook, Zoom and publishing recordings of these courses on our website
  • Offering online virtual support groups
  • Modifying our helpline service to operate remotely from outside our office
  • Providing several COVID-19 resources available through our website and social media. Click here to view our COVID-19 resources and updates page.

Although learning about and adapting to technology has become less of an option and more of a requirement that doesn’t always make adapting to it and learning how to use it easier.

To that end, we’ll be reviewing how to use two Facebook, Zoom and some of the COVID-19 resources we’ve made available online on our website.
