Delirium, depression, and dementia, commonly known as the 3 D’s, are distinct but interconnected conditions that can affect cognitive functioning and well-being. In this presentation, we will explore the characteristics and diagnostic challenges of each condition as well as the importance of early identification and treatment.

At completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Differentiate the symptoms of delirium, depression, and dementia
  2. Recognize the challenges in diagnosing delirium, depression, and dementia in older adults
  3. Identify risk factors and common causes of delirium, depression, and dementia
