Series Description:
This four-part online series is designed for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners who want to better understand the changes that occur across the stages of dementia. Each session focuses on a different stage—Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), early-stage dementia, mid-stage dementia, and late-stage dementia—providing practical guidance on what changes to expect, strategies for adapting to new challenges, and ways to maintain connection, dignity, and quality of life. Participants will gain insight into how abilities evolve over time, learn supportive communication and care approaches for each stage, and have the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive learning environment.

Session 2: Early-Stage Dementia (Early Memory Loss)

In the early stage of dementia, individuals may begin experiencing noticeable changes in memory, organization, and decision-making while still maintaining many daily activities. This session explores common early-stage symptoms, communication approaches that preserve independence and confidence, and strategies for adapting routines and planning ahead.
