Series Description:
This four-part online series is designed for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners who want to better understand the changes that occur across the stages of dementia. Each session focuses on a different stage—Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI), early-stage dementia, mid-stage dementia, and late-stage dementia—providing practical guidance on what changes to expect, strategies for adapting to new challenges, and ways to maintain connection, dignity, and quality of life. Participants will gain insight into how abilities evolve over time, learn supportive communication and care approaches for each stage, and have the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive learning environment.

Session 1: Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

This session focuses on the earliest stage of cognitive change, when memory or thinking abilities may feel different but daily independence is largely maintained. Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of MCI, understand how it differs from normal aging and dementia, and explore practical strategies to support brain health, memory, and planning for the future.
