Wandering is a common and potentially dangerous behavior in individuals living with dementia. Join us for this important class where we’ll explore the causes of wandering, identify warning signs, and share practical strategies to help reduce the risk. Learn how to create a safer environment, respond effectively when wandering occurs, and access community resources like ID programs and location tracking tools.

At the completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the reasons why people with dementia might wander
  2. Recognize the dangers associated with wandering
  3. Identify strategies for preventing wandering
  4. Describe what to do if someone with dementia is missing
