We’re honored to recognize Beverly Newton, a former board member and longtime supporter of Alzheimer’s Orange County, as our Lifetime Service Award honoree at this year’s Back to the ’80s Gala.

Beverly I. Newton’s commitment to Alzheimer’s Orange County grew from a deeply personal journey. For more than 30 years, she helped care for her mother, a UCLA graduate and devoted elementary school teacher, as Alzheimer’s gradually transformed the strong, loving woman she knew into someone who needed her daughter’s love and protection. Beverly came to describe their journey simply as “My Mother, My Child.” That experience inspired her enduring commitment to Alzheimer’s Orange County and to helping families and caregivers navigate the profound challenges of loving and caring for someone living with dementia…often while they struggle to maintain a career, relationships, personal goals and families of their own.
