On April 22, caregivers from across Orange County gathered at the serene Duck Club in Irvine for a meaningful day dedicated entirely to them. The Caregiver Retreat hosted by Alzheimer’s Orange County, created a peaceful space where those caring for others could pause, reflect, and focus on their own well-being.
The day was a thoughtfully designed experience filled with expert-led talks, a guided nature walk, and time to truly unwind. From meaningful conversations to moments of relaxation, to thoughtful conversations and presentations, every detail was created with care for those that care so deeply.
More than anything, it was a space to connect, recharge, and feel supported alongside others who understand the caregiving journey.
We extend a heartfelt thank‑you to AnnBeth Shanfield for her gift in memory of her husband Zef, which helped make this special day possible. We are honored and grateful for your generous support.
Thank you also to O’Connor Mortuary for sponsoring breakfast, Caring Companions at Home for sponsoring lunch, and Bristol Myer Squibb for sponsoring the coffee bar.
